Any ideas or drills on how to stop early extension in downswing i have read all the stuff on the t.p.i website about this problem but cant solve it just cant move my hips properely in downswing without losing my posture
I dig the TPI site espy. the free 3d viewer. My early extension starts in the backswing where the gap grows from the area of the bottom rib to the belt buckle. What I have learned comes from the TPI site, mainly to keep the chest facing the ground from start of backswing thru impact. When you maintain this gap and fully coil your shoulders you get tremendous speed but it stretches different muscles so take it easy at first with short swings. Don't cheat by taking the club back to far inside. Even Moe Norman maintained this gap, so whether you are 1 or 2 plane I believe this could help. Now Kenny Perry, and Furyk with their strange backswings do grow the gap but close it as they downswing but how many people can do that? So keep the gap a constant distance and I'm hoping it will help us.
**** YOU hypocritical sharlaton, you can shove your advice up your brown shite pipe people like you really **** me off cause you think your an expert but you really know **** all your a bastard
Thinking on about this maybe the following link may be able to help with your downswing and how to maintain posture correctly. The eternal triangle is a good way to consider the relationship between the upper and lower body. I find the way it uses the lateral hip slide at the start of the downswing keeps everything connected. http://www.newgolfswing.com/newgolfswing07.php
