Is ther anyone out there that can give a brief overview of what technique this teaches?
Does it teach fundementals?
Is there any relation to stack and tilt, TGM, gravity golf ect.?
Is there any specific swing thoughts or "must be done this way"? ie. keeping head still, now swaying, weight must stay on front foot ect.

Re: 3 skills golf
Sounds a lot like Jay Golden's utube lessons; a little more specific...
I found with this imaging that swinging "down" is necessary with poor lies, but a natural attack at the back of the ball produces solid contact with a divot as the club bottoms naturally as a result of proper ball placement for the club with good lies.
I have been pleased with the results. Taking lessons is beneficial....but while playing, minimal swing thoughts, and this is one, is better.
I am now a total convert to club face control while playing and not thinking of body part manipulation. I feel you need a background of successful teaching of swing mechanics first with practice to achieve the desired result with this imagery. The will melt together. My instructor has been excellent at this.
The nail image is excellent....just remember to continue through the entire length of the nail, past the ball to initiate follow through.Last edited by dagosa; 12-08-2008, 12:07 AM.

Re: 3 skills golf
3SKs
I have worked with this method since August 07 after a brief explaination and it has completely changed my game forever.
A bold statement I know but once you let go and give it a go, it really works well and I have challenged a few people 'about seven' over the last year or so during chats at the range, everyone gives me the thumb up when I bump into them and often comment how well it works.
Basically you set up (text book) with a good grip and look at the ball and visualize hitting the ball with a downward blow from the inside, the third skill comes pretty natural which is rotation.
simple as that, but it is better to work with some of the drills out of the book if you need more visual aids, at the range I use a length of wood.
Like this: o! o = ball ! = wood
Hope this helps
Ian.

He means he puts a block of wood about 2" behind the ball. Hit the ball before the wood.

Hmm! got me thinking now. I thought Ian used the wood to the back of the ball as an aid to strike it from the inside path. I can also see that the wood could be placed behind the ball as an aid to hit down at it.
Ian, please can you clarify?Last edited by BrianW; 12-13-2008, 10:38 PM.

Re: 3 skills golf
Morning guys,
I use a piece of wood behind the ball as you stand addressed to it, this makes you hit from the inside, if you don't you clip the wood.
I have attached a picture of the 'Inside Approach' I simple use a thin piece of wood liying on the floor, instead of the gadget, both work very well for skill two, one is clearly cheaper and fits in your golf bag.
You can see from the picture what he is trying to do.

Re: 3 skills golf
This is a perfect example of our discussion on swing path into the ball, I have put this into my pre-shot, I have also noted my swing has flattened some what similar to Ben's swing which can't be a bad thing.

4.10 seconds in is when he discusses swing path and pre shot waggle.
