thought i'd try and get a simple answer to the following.
I have just purchased a set of Taylormade Tour Perfered Irons.
currently i am playing with Taylormade RAC OS2.
what i want to know is... Do i have to change my setup in anyway to play with these new irons.. they have minimal offset. Do i put the ball further back or further forward in my stance, or just play the new irons as if they were my old ones. I don't know my swing speed, but i can hit the driver about 280m on a sweet hit and my average distance for an 8i is 145 - 150m.
My handicap is 13 and i aim to get low single figures by the end of next year (1/2 way through is my goal). My ball striking with my current irons is good and the last 2 months i've played the best golf of my (so far) 3yr career as an amature. I know i have taken 2 steps forward in my selection of irons but my plan over the next year is to really get into golf more seriously.
