shaft question

I used to have a TM R7 with a Aldila NV 75g shaft. Could not get the ball in the air and kept hitting duck hooks. I just bought last years TM burner 460 and love it. It has 50g fuji shaft and I love it. The only problem ball flight is a little to high. I have some lead strips that weigh about 3g. I might need just a little more weight in the shaft so I was wondering if I was going to place the strip on the shaft what would be the best place to put it. Or is it more or less trial and error

The TM Burner is designed to hit the ball high with low spin for distance, it is an extremely light driver with a longer shaft and low COG to create higher swing speed, height and low spin, you need to strike the ball fairly high on the clubface.

Before altering it's characteristics try teeing the ball higher and playing it a little further forward.
