I feel the same way...I'd rather alter a set up (open face to target and square body to flight line) and then just use the same swing. I'm just not good enough to try to manipulate the club other than the going with what I know works...if just a little.

i do it the other way round. i line my feet up open (about 40%) and the club face square to the line i want the ball to start out and normally put about 15 feet of fade on the ball.
but i do have a strange Trevino style golf swing but it works for me but don't think it a swing most people would want.

With such good results....it would be a swing most people would want.
