I've been chronic hooker/pusher for years now. Lately have been pull hooking and pushing. After lessons, the pro said my backswing/takeaway is fine, but its a matter of then starting the downswing. He said I get too quick with my lower body and also upper body...and the hands either lag or are too fast...hence, either the hook or push. The push also turns into a straight block at times. Normally, my driver and 3 wood are the main culprits on these shots. I average 280 off the tee, but the inconsistency is killing me. Normally, I like to draw the ball and want to maintain this. I realize its all in the timing, but need drills or swing thoughts to keep my timing more consistent. How can I get my hands, arms, lower and upper body in sync, to develop some mode of consistency? Please help...I really am going nuts.
