oh boy....

im new to this site so be easy on me

today was my 3rd round in over 12 years or so
ive played every week for 3 weeks now and my first week i shot around a 96 with some 1970 something arnold palmer sig clubs

then the week after i shot a 116 with some clubs i got from my inlaws
and this week i bought a new set of acuity voltage clubs and shot a 104

i can hit irons really well and chip great but my drives are horrible
everything goes to the right and i am right handed
ive tried turning my hands and moving my right foot back a few inches and it doesnt help just makes me top the ball

i saw the thread about the 3 ball thing and i would like to actually see a picture or something to explain it more so i can work on it

i noticed today that if i tee'd off with my 3 wood i didnt slice AS bad but still wasnt dead in the middle

any help would be appreciated

one other thing i can hit my irons really strait about 90% of the time

and my dad for some reason cant seem to get under the ball to hit his irons

when he does he hits them really fat and takes too much and just pops em strait up basicaly

i hope i make sense because i dont know all the golf terms yet

I am not sure what you are referring to with "The 3 ball thing", please can you clarify?

Regarding your Dad "getting under the ball with his irons" You should never try and get under the ball with your clubs, you should be hitting down at the back of the ball.

Were you referring to '3 Skills' ?

im not sure all i know is u tee one ball up and put one ball 10 inches infront and 3 inches to the inside

and one behind 10 inches and 3 inches to the outside
and if u hit one the other balls thats not on the tee ur swing is wrong

i picked up a new set of clubs a week ago
got Acuity Voltage set

not to bad the driver hit alot further then my old one and its a little straiter

im still having a problem with the slice on the driver

and as far as my dad hitting the irons

he keeps topping the ball or hitting the ground before the ball and just not hitting it well
