I'm sure its already been discussed here before but I feel like I have to tell the world. I normaly play like garbage, I'm talkin just breaking 100. Today I shot 10 over and I dont think it was luck. Every green, except the long par fives, I made in 2. My putting sucks but I'll work on that. Yesterday I started reading Ben Hogan's "Five Lessons" and The solid base that it gave me to work with is better than any tips or instruction I've ever got from any where. I saw where I was going wrong corrected grip and my posture and overnight I'm a new golfer. Sorry to waste your time with this but has anyone had similar results.

Re: I have to tell someone about this!
Hi DSM,
Great stuff.
There is nothing like getting back to good fundamentals.
The grip is about the most important aspect of the game, and a sound grip will make or break the swinging action. Of course, there are different grips, but they have to fit in with the swing motion that works with that grip. You have Azinger with an ultra strong grip and his swing motion is with the hips and body rotation. Montgomerie has a weak grip and a two plane motion with and over the top cut.
Posture and the losing of posture is a subject of much discussion in golf.
Keep it up.
Ted
