OK forget the amateur golf instructions, my bad, what was I thinking. Has anyone seen any info on Kuykendall Golf? I beleive he was associated with Natural Golf which came out in the 80's.

He was associated with Natural Golf, and even had conversations with Moe Norman. The original NG swing was valid. I think Kuykendall distanced himself from the original NG swing when the rights were purchased by (who some say) a person out to make a fast buck who basically screwed the pooch with his own marketing ideas. Kuykendall went more scientific with the original concept, and got more into levers, and hinge points.

At one point, it was mandatory that all pro golfers attend a class on this NG swing concept just so they would know about, and understand it. The swing had that much merit to be recognized by the PGA

There are a tremendous amount of great stories that involve Moe Norman's playing accuracy using his own version of the swing. Some say that if not for his personality issues, we might not ever of heard of some golfers such as Hogan, and maybe even Palmer.

I have golfed with some NG golfers, and they were very good golfers. The NG palm grip is a key part of the swing. The majority of the power comes from the upper torso. But to make the swing work required clubs that were much more up right than standard, due to the palm grip. Maybe as much as 4* in some instances.

I have 2* up right clubs, and can grip, and swing the correct NG way. It works fine for me on shorter wedge shots, but I still prefer the de la Torre swing method.

I think Sandy Lyle tried it for a while as did other pros, but I believe they have all gone back to the modern, or their original swings.

That's about all I know about it. GJS
