I am a golfing lefty but in all other things I am very much righ handed. My belief is that lefties are in fact the true right handed. Think about it. Which hand do you use most in other activities? Which side of your body is the stronger? When you address a ball left handed is it not the right hand and arm that controls the club? The right arm is extended straight and the club form s an extension of that right arm. The power of the swing is controlled by that right side, making you truly a right handed person, not as you have been called, "a lefty". My left side is useless, I would never use it to defend myself, it may in fact have equal strength but my natural instincts are "go right" yet I would not dream of holding a golf club right handed.
Considering that more people are right handed than left in all other things that makes my theory seem incorrect but perhaps many of those people playing so called right handed golf are doing so because, like the emperor's new clothing' they have been led to believe that is the way they should play and not the way that might have been more natural for them.
