  • Slight Hook

Wow am I confused. I am a true 8 handicap. Recently I have started pulling my drives left. OMG !!!! Never done this. I am frustrated. Checked my grip. Ben Hogans 5 lessons book (my reference). All other clubs are great. I think I am flattening my swing with my driver. I need those yards !!! Please help.

Sounds like you are hitting on an out to in swing path.

No offense to Brian, but I think you are coming outside in with a shut face. If it's coming as that much of a surprise that you are pull hooking it when you are used to cutting it, then your clubface is the likely culprit.

So I would first check your grip to make sure it's not too strong, and second your release may be a little too soon. Hands got to the ball before your turn. Make sure you initiate the swing with the lower body.

No Offence. That's what I meant.

if all other clubs are good, check your ball position and your alignment on the driver. could be too far foward or may be setting up to far right mike
