  • Pulling left

Hi guys i am just a new member and i would greatly appreciate it if you's will help me on this if you's can.
Lately i have been pulling left of the target and on my downswing i can see that the clubface is closing and i can see this happening when i take a couple of practice swings.
I recently bought a new hybrid and i was hitting this club sweet and now when i take a couple of practice swings i can also see club face is closing.
My friend wen't to our local pro due to having a bad slice and the local pro asked him to try changing to a draw to erradicate this and then i started to try it for no particular reason and wish i didn't but hey you learn from mistakes and was just wondering if me trying this has affected me.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Not everyone who reads the posts are golf swing experts. Some are looking for answers to their own problems. Not to mention the vagueness of your description. Now you also have your rude attitude discouraging people off from helping you.

If you insist, my wild ass guess would be that you are not rotating your body through the ball and as a result your arms are getting ahead of the body at impact. This will close the clubface.

        Re: Pulling left

A pull can come from lazy legs on through swing or it can come from too much steerage down with the arms after transition from the top.
Try keeping the legs loose enough to make the move forward(left) on downswing and keep the arms out of the downswing.
Especially the right hand can cause pulls and slices which are about the same thing, ie. pull closed face left or slice open face right

Take note of KBP's comments, he is absolutely correct that most people viewing the site are probably looking for answers themselves. Others try to help by giving their spare time freely.

Golf balls go in the direction the clubface sends them. If your ball is pulling straight left then your clubface will be pointing left at impact while your swingpath is coming in to square to in.

          At a guess try:-

          Weakening your grip.
Checking the clubface is square at setup.
Making a proper rotation so that you end up with your belt buckle facing the target, your weight on the front foot and being up on the toe of your trail foot with your legs close together.
