  • The Right Heel

I know the right heel as a result of the throughswing and follow through should lift off of the ground, but is it possible that I am leaving my right heel down too long in the throughswing to get a good follow through? Sometimes I think so. I am concentrating on the shoulder rotation and trying not to sway but turn in a way that I have minimal hip rotation. Should I consciously try to lift the right heel at the beginning of the throughswing?

No. It will lift because it has to. The hip rotation is only minimal in the takeaway, it is maximum in the followthrough. In fact, the hips should be AT their maximum at the point of impact.
