I want to preface this thread with a disclaimer. I have no affiliation with this company and I detest the shilling of products by makers of products unless they are a site sponsor.
I have been working on the Mike Austin swing method for 4+ years and getting fantastic results. Mike is 94 years old and was recognized by the PGA of America for 70 years of golf instruction on September 28, 2004. The guy is the real deal. A short list of accomplishments:
Helped Ben Hogan rework his swing after the car accident.
Inventor of the Iron Byron and the Stimpmeter.
World record holder of the longest drive on level ground in a sanctioned PGA tournament, 515 yards at age 64.
Numerous long drive championships.
Student include: Jack Nicklaus, Johnny Miller, Seve Ballestaros (sp), Ernie Els and VJ Singh.
Accomplished Opera Singer, Actor, professional Boxer. (ever wonder why Ernie Els hurt his hand boxing?)
It seems Mike has been holding his secrets close to him for 12 years now. But in the last two years has written and just released his closest guarded swing mechanics. His traditional swing mechanics were better that any other teacher I have ever studied. The new swing is a breakaway from the early 1900's based swing most use. Some players who have seen Mike in recent years are VJ Singh and Ernie Els. It is readily aparent in their release.
I have been focused on making this swing change for a time now and find it most amazing. A very relaxed motion that is not difficult on the body. Gandolf the great is exploring this swing as well. If anyone wants more information please email me at golfhelp01@yahoo.com. The series is How To Kill The Ball.
Hickory sticks have been out of vogue for years, why are we still swinging like we still have them? This is the swing for the next century.
