  • Club Point right of target helps in to out Swing?

    Hey Guys

Was wondering your thoughts on this one. I know, that we don't want to get into the habit of creating a swing that has too many flaws as it creates compensations.

I was reading today that to encourgae an in to out swing for the draw, they were saying it was good to complete your tuen and have your club accross the line and pointing right of the target. So you agree with this?

Or put it another way, I seldom complete my turn, and if anything my club is laid off at the top of my backswing, does this encourage an out to in swing?

    what do you guys think?

    thanks

Have you tried swinging so you cross the line? If not, give it a go. If you're a habitual slicer, it definitely makes drawing it easier. However, have a knowledgable person stand with you (or better still, video it) and you will see that your feeling of being across the line will actually be a straight up and down swing with the clubhead in line with your hands all the way.

Having the club in a better position at the top with mean there's no need to flip at the ball (as is necessary when the club is laid off).

    Give it a go.

Hey Neil! Hows your toast-rack for crumbs mate? Haven't heard from you for a while, hope you are well. Think you got hitched recently, are you behaving yourself?
