Top of swing

Okay so an old habit creeps back in right as I'm playing great golf. At the top of my backswing the clubhead is in a great position until right before the transition when the clubhead swings closer towards my head which causes inconsistency. I can't stop this for the life of me so any help would be great! Thanks!

Another thought I had on this is, If the clubface is shut at the top can this cause an unstable position at the top to where the wrist can break down?
