The main idea in golf as in life I suppose, is to learn to accept what cannot be altered and to keep on doing ones own reasoned and resolute best whether the prospect be bleak or rosy. Bobby Jones
Basically, if you can take a stick in your right hand (for right-handed golfers) and strike an object on the ground so the tip of the stick is at maximum speed when it strikes the object you already possess 75% of the essential body movement and 90% of the feel needed for an excellent golf swing.
Enjoy!

I have to say that for me this is your best post, especially when allied to the "tension is the enemy" one(s).
I think we all have the innate ability to at least strike the tin can and are perhaps more likely to hit it at top speed than we are the golf ball [because of "the stuff that gets in the way" of the swing but doesn't the throw].
Strangely enough last time out on the practice ground I was working on a simple swing thought of "place & chase", Whereby I "place" the club on the backswing with a Leslie King-like movement of the lead (left) arm - hopefully tension free because its just a placement - and then just look to "chase" the ball down the fairway where the chase action is akin to your throw.
Mixed results but encouraged by your thoughts I'll give it some more work.
