There is a lot of stuff out there but this is interesting. It's a method called SimpleGolf and I wanted to get thoughts on it. To prevent pulls/hooks here is what they advise: 1. Bend the front leg. 2. Shift the hips toward the target so the weight is on the outside edge of your front leg. As you shift your hips forward your spine will naturally tilt away from the target 20-25 degrees. 3. Straighten the back leg with the back foot flare 45 degrees. (Yep, straighten it. It should be completely straight or almost completely straight.) On your backswing keep your front knee bent. On your downswing KEEP YOUR FRONT KNEE BENT THROUGH IMPACT. For your swing thought think "Keep the Edge" meaning keep your weight on the outside edge of your front foot.
This is a routine for all shots to avoid hooks/pulls. It sounds quite awkward and unnatural to me. Anyone tried this?
