  • Another one bites the dust.

Do you ever wonder why more do not contribute here?

Some of the reason could be no matter what someone posts, another or others have to attack. I for one was very interested in what Go Low had to say and he was helping me by what I read here from him. Now I hope I can remember it. Because since those of you who do not know how to disagree without trying to hurt someone's feelings, have run off another valued member, and now I will have to hope to continue my improvement based on what I can remember. I know he did not have to pull most of all he posted here, he chose to do so though. I want to thank you all for letting it get to that point.

Now you can try to justify your actions all you want, you know who you are. Go Low started significant and thought provoking threads and contributed to many threads others here started. Did you ever think that no matter what anyone could ever post here or anywhere for that matter, some will not agree with what is said. Why oh why can't their be civil disagreement on things without attacking the person you disagree with? If you disagree so vehemently and feel that strongly about an opposite opinion, start your own thread and give your opinion and let the readers do some research and decide on their own who they tend to agree or disagree with.

I wish some of those responsible for what happened would leave and remove all their posts! This site could be so much more without the bickering and rude comments. There are ways to disagree without being hurtful. But right now I would rather hurt the feelings of some of those left here instead of being civil. But since I don't contribute much at all, I'm just a lurker for the most part, it doesn't matter what I feel. It is much more important for some of you to win your stupid point and feel as though you are better than others by doing so. Who cares if someone left and took his contributions with him?

If people don't disagree nothing changes. No one gets better or smarter. There is nothing to discuss and the site is so boring members will leave or just not show up and read what the high and mighty have to say. Ever think about that? If everyone agrees what's the point?

Grow up people. I would venture to say, not one of you comes here with all the right answers and concepts. Many of you don't even know what you don't know! And running others off will not make your position correct or help you to be a better person.

    Thanks again, Andy

Just want to make sure I understand, you want people to pack up and leave because you don't like the idea that someone packed up and left?

Go Low may have posted some very nice ideas but I am pretty sure he was the antagonist in most of the discussions. People questioned some of them and he became quite rude.

I would have no problem if he were to come back and continue posting, but if you are going to post "thought provoking" ideas, you need to be prepared to back it up. No one "attacked" him personally, but there were several of his lashes that tore into others.

I'm sad to see him go too.

Let's just say I tend to agree with Keiko, "You must be familiar with "Ringer" on other sites, he likes to be the authority. "my way or the highway" Most just take him with a grain of salt"

I could really care less what you understand.

      >Go Low may have posted some very nice ideas but I am pretty sure he was the antagonist in most of the discussions. People >questioned some of them and he became quite rude.

I will say unfortunately he didn't take the high road, but neither did you. To be real, I wish you would have packed up and he stayed, and I'll bet I am not alone in thinking that.

      >I would have no problem if he were to come back and continue posting, but if you are going to post "thought provoking" ideas, >you need to be prepared to back it up. No one "attacked" him personally, but there were several of his lashes that tore into >others.

That is not how I saw it. Alas though you will only see it through your eyes. BTW, the last thing on this earth anyone needs to do is back anything up to you.

      >I'm sad to see him go too.

Come on, adimit it... Makes you feel like you climbed one rung higher on the ladder here. I can't wait to see your fall. I am not a golf teacher but I do know how you should respond without going over the line.

I know I have just gone over the line. But you have it coming so I will give myself a bye on this one. And no action by anyone is needed here, this will be my final reply to you. So now i'll go off and lurk just like I have done most of the time til now. Someone needed to say something, so I did. Brian's request to keep it civil seemed to have fallen on deaf ears. But hey, what do I know.

All I ask is for some evidence of where I responded inappropriately and where he responded to me kindly.... and as hard as I'm sure it is for you to believe this, I really don't consider someone quitting to be a victory.

Ringer comes across as arrogant and condescending at times.

It may not be intended that way but the written word can be very ambiguous. Points trying to be made read at times as statements of fact or superior knowledge as opposed to a difference of opinion.

I will try to correct that. Thank you for pointing it out.

Hopefully we can leave this one now and return to some Golf topics.

The first personal attack was when someone called someone else "a little sawed-off punk". If there was something that crossed the line previous to that, I would like to know what it was, so I do not cross it in the future.
