In continuation with my quest to swinging from the inside. I have a thought, and wanted to know if you thought I was on track or way off track.
I have traditionally had more of an arm swing, very over the top, and my downswing lacks authority and at impact both feet are on the ground and both shoulders and hips are square to the target.
Recently I have been trying to work backwards with my swing, and tried as a pre- swing drill to set my body at the ideal impace position(pls see below) ie shoulder square, hips open. What I strangely found as I did this, and did my practice swing, trying to feel myself get in this postion I could really feel myself coming more from the inside.....
My question is,......is this just my imagination? and does this aid us to swing from the inside. or is it just a simple case of now your swiong is closer to the "ideal" checkpoints, you naturally do things in a coorect way ie swinging from the inside?
I found doing this drill, and also continuing this swing to slightly past impact where you maintain the triangle at your arms * and don't chicken wing)......has really forced me to swing down the right path.
Would appreciate your thoughts and consel.
