Quote of the month:
"It's easy to see golf not as a game at all but as some whey-faced, nineteenth-century Presbyterian minister's fever dream of exorcism achieved through ritual and self-mortification." ~Bruce McCall
I'm a golfaholic, no question about that. Counseling wouldn't help me. They'd have to put me in prison, and then I'd talk the warden into building a hole or two and teach him how to play. ~Lee Trevino
My favorites were the presidents...check out Ike's swing. My Dad has named all his swing flaws as Deamons, and one of them is the Eisenhower deamon where he uses only his arms...I finally got to see Ike swing, and I know now what he is talking about.
Thanks for this link!
And I agree, Els' swing is the most pleasing to watch.
I got Ernie's video 'how to build a classic swing'. Its great to watch his shots and hear the explaination. Especially the way he describes the shot in his special kind of polite South African English. 'Please, if you just hit it like this..' he starts then the ball goes for miles and lands exactly where he wants. You can see the picture bouncing because even the camera guy is laughing.
