  • Driving into the wind

I have always been told that when driving into the wind, play the ball back in your stance a bit. However, I have noticed that I tend to slice or fade the ball then. I believe it is because I have not the club faced closed by the time it reaches the ball. So, how is the best way to do it then please?

Try teeing the ball a little lower, play it slightly further back, take a stronger grip where your hands are turned more to the right. Try and feel you are contacting the ball lower on the drivers face and dont follow through quite so far as a normal shot.

OK, next time out will give it a go, windy or not.

OK. But what actually is "sage" advice?
