To expand on this a bit. The key to this type of swing/release is "slotting" the club, obviously.
On the way down, when the hands are around hip high or so, the club will feel VERY low, VERY flat, and WAY inside, relative to what the OTT golfer normally feels. The back of the left hand will feel more "skyward" and the club face more open. The trail side elbow will be leading the hands and the hands leading the club head. You will feel the weight of the club head lagging, but you may also feel it acting straight vertical down toward the ground behind the hands. More spine tilt away from the target than an OTT swing, also.

If can get in this position, the subsequent left hand rotation/swivel release will happen naturally and instinctively. You can and will go at the ball HARD. AUTOMATIC. If you are not in this position, no amount of description, imagery, manipulation, etc. is going to make this release work.

This is an awesome topic and as Low implies, the difference between being good and sucking.
