  • clubhead closed top of backswing?

    Quick question,

I've been doing a lot of mirror work and have noticed that I have a clubface that isn't completely square, but more somewhat closed (not completely) at the top of my backswing. I would guess this is due to a strong grip but I swear it isn't. By the way my left wrist is completely flat.

any ideas, should I use a little more of a weak grip to get it square?

    Vector,

Most tour pro's are slightly closed at the top, sound to me like you have a perfect swing position.

    Don't worry

        Ian is right.

The real question would be what is your ball doing?

^ Amen to that. Most things I read state that a clubhead should be square-to-slightly closed at the top, and that it's even ok to be square-to-slightly closed at impact (adding draw spin). As Ian stated, a lot of pros are slightly closed at the top (Tiger who?), and a lot of pros have a natural draw. Coincidence? I think not!
