Re: swinging the driver to hard
Mr Change,
Take care when swapping to stiff shafts on irons, its a different proposition entirely. I assume of course that you use a Graphite shafted driver and steel shafted irons. I use a Prolite 35S in my driver which is pretty stiff, but not all that very heavy (about 70grams) whereas my irons are R400, reg flex but a few grams heavier than normal. Stiff shafts on irons can lead to loss of height and distance. On your driver you will certainly find more accuracy but also more distance because the ball is coming off lower and running further and because its straighet you are landing on the runway more often. I would try out some stiffer shafted clubs first just to make sure they were going to work before I spent my hard earned. From personal experience I would advise for more accuracy on irons to go with a heavier shaft before a stiffer shaft.
If you are all graphite or all steel of course, the above argument is void.....
