  • Golf swing approach

hi i am new to this website and golf. I have heard that the golf inside approach is a great swing aid but is extremely high in price, does anybody have the measurements, dimensions or how to build the swing approach myself. I'd really appreciate it.

    Thankyou,

    Ali

I saw it at at Golf Town and it looks like a POS. You don't need it. Just remember, on your downswing, keep your spine on axis and drop your right elbow to your hip at the same time clearing your right leg. You'll never slice, assuming you have a neutral or strong grip.

Two things I reconmend to invest in, first is lessons with a golf instructor, and second a mirror to watch yourself in.

        Welcome to the site,

The cheapest inside approach which is the only training aid I think works instantly, although I have never used one it just seems a great tool to explain the angle of attack.

        Now for the cheap option....

Open your unbrella and place it on the ground then put you ball just under the edge.....swing on the outside coming down and you hit the brolly.

        Hope this helps

        Ian.

The cheapest inside approach - just place an empty carboard box 1 ball width outside your target line, about 4 inches behind your ball. If you hit the cardboard box, you came from the outside.

It works great and there is no damage to your club if you hit the box. Any size box will work. I've seen Vijay use a water bottle on the range to replicate the same thing.

                  Vijay will use anything Gord,

How long do you think Vijay can keep this painfully hard work up, he must burn out soon, surley no-ones body can take that sort of training day in day out.

                      Re: Golf swing approach

A shoe box will work fine. If you have some whiffle balls that should work. I find most people have 2 swings. A practice swing and a real swing when they hit a ball. I know many who have beautiful practice swings and HORRIBLE real swings. I also know people who have the opposite - horrible practice swings and beautiful real swings. It's obviously best to have the same swing, whether practice or a real swing for consitancy.

I agree - the guy is in his 40's. I don't know many people in their 20s that can keep up this type of regiment. But, it goes to show that if you work hard (at the right things), you can accomplish anything.....
