    Re: just a quick question

I'm surprised by how many young players there are out there. Anyways I checked out your swing. Here's my comments:

Your arms and shoulders seem really tense. Relax them a little more. Too tense is no good. It fosters a bad release. I'm not saying your release stinks but just try to relax the shoulders and arms more.

Secondly your hands should fall directly under your eyes. In the video, your hands are well inside the eye line, meaning your hands are way too close to your crotch. There should be about a fist's width between crotch and hands.

I also notice your right leg straigtening on the backswing but cannot really confirm that because of the quality of the clip. The coiled power is lost when you do that and you won't be hitting as far was you'd like.

Aside from that, your swing looks good. I could probably comment more if you can show us your swing from a frontal view.

I agree about the arms - let your arms hang naturally from your shoulders. Try this: Take your address position. Close your eyes and take your right hand off your club. Let it hang loosely from your shoulder. Now, move your right arm straight across, towards the target. Your hand will hit exactly where it should be placed on the grip.

Just keep on working on the drill I gave you by e-mail and check yourself every so often. Go back to the drill at least 2ce a week and regerse that toe-up position over and over again.

Also check the position ofthe club at the top of the backswing like I should you using David Leadbetter's drill. This will make sure you are 100% on plane and in position.

Your address and right leg position will improve once we get your take away sorted out.
