    Re: Putt Master?

You can try and putt with your eyes closed. Hit a few putts at say a 3 foot distance. then close your eyes and try it.. You will feel the putter in your hand and the feed back is great.

I have even gone to the range and hit 8 irons, again the feed back is something you will never get from any pro or magazine or gadget on the market.

This is not for the beginner of golf.

Also get a good insurance before you try it lol...

      Re: Putt Master?

I do most of my putting drills with my eyes closed. I had a few students that swing at the ball when putting instead of having a nice fluid motion THROUGH the ball. I get them to close their eyes and make a pendulum motion back and forth. After about their 5th or 6th swing, I'll place a ball in their swing path and they are always very surprised how different it feels. If you have a problem decelerating after you hit the ball, have a friend help you out by putting a ball down for you randomly so you can get the feeling of swinging through the ball.

Also, you can set balls up parallel to your target line just outside your heel and toe of your putter (about 4 balls on each side). Hit some putts towards the target. If you hit the balls that are parallel, they will move letting you know you were coming inside or outside.

Time for the classic coaches conundrum (thank you, thank you, I think it's a nice piece of alliteration as well).

You have a student who always takes their backswing to the same place, but adjusts their acceleration (or deceleration) to control distance. They consistently leave their second putt within 4 or 5 feet, and hole out occasionally. They two putt from almost anywhere on the green.

Do you take the time to teach them the proper pendulum stroke, or let them be?
