Help! I have a two-stroke lead on my opponent going into the 17th hole when suddenly, off the tee, I pop my drive up. I do this from time to time and really lose distance. Any suggestions on maintaining consistency in this area? Thanks for any help.

Re: Skying The Ball
If you have the ball to far back in your stance with your driver you will create to much angle on your downswing and this will cause you to sky the ball.
If you have it teed up to high the clubface will swing under the ball and cause a sky.
Other things could be your spine angle, make sure your spine is leaning away from the ball. At setup if you are right handed make sure your left hip and left shoulder are raise slightly.

Re: Skying The Ball
Your ball is teed too high. At set up, there should not be more than the top 1/2 of the ball above the clubface. All the other factors will create a higher trajectory, but not a straight sky shot.

Re: Skying The Ball
Sounds like you are trying to hit it too hard. Skying is usually cause by getting way ahead of the ball and basically burying the club head underneath the ball.
To avoid the sky, remember and let your right shoulder hit your chin on the way through, This will stop you getting under the ball. Remember and try to keep your tempo nice and smooth.
Late in the round problems suggest a lack of concentration and/or match fitness. These only really come with playing more competitive golf. Medal or match play, it doesnt really matter.
