  • right hand drill

I have been practicing the right hand drill and in general it has given me much better distance, accuracy and ball flight. However now and again I get one of two bad shots, with my driver it is a very high pushed slice, and with irons it is a fat pull. Is this just me not maintaining the wrist angle every now and again or something more serious?
    Thanks

The driver high slice sounds like you are using too much hands. The driver needs to be hit with very little hand release action. The more you use the higher it will go. Move the ball position forward to the front foot (if not already there) and take the club back low and long. Use lots of shoulder turn back and through and that will help lower your flight and kill the slice.

The fat-pull iron is the hands releasing too early. The face gets closed and the club gets extended early. Wait until the last moment to release that cocked hand position until at the bottom of the swing and that will fix this one.

Good to hear the drill helped you!
