    Re: tigers wrist

i noticed this as well, normally the wrist is flat, but every once and a while, it does seem to get bowed, then he has to try to make compensations in order to stop the ball from hooking.

It didn't seem to affect him yesterday. I reckon he has injured it sometime and has tried to play around it. It just goes to show you how much the hands at the top of the swing can affect the shots and how you can find clues to your own game problems by looking at this.

Arching the left wrist is a preventative cure for bending the left wrist. It is also used for hitting low, boring ball flight - knockdowns and punch shots. However, when a player arches the left wrist the left wrist replaces the left shoulder as both the fulcrum and low point. This means that the ball position MUST be moved forward to prevent leaving the ball out to the right.
