    Hi can any one tell me if i should be using graphite irons or steel shaft,
    im 28 been playing for about 2 years on and of, i have a set of graphite shafts at the moment, im not very good but the game has me under its spell, its driving me nuts all i thing about is golf and getting better at it, so any help would be very appreciated thx, whippet

    It really is up to your natural preference on that one. I think that steel shafts are better, and i got mine stiff for added control. Just your take on this one!

      It largely depends on 1) preference and 2) swing speed.

      Nowadays, you can get shaft just about as heavy or as light as you like. Graphite can be much lighter than steel (obviously), but heavy graphite and light steel are pretty much the same weight.

      More importantly than graphite vs steel is your swing speed, which indicates flex.

      Figure out your SS, find your flex, then get your clubs shafted accordingly.
