In my last post a few weeks ago, I mentioned that I have become committed to the inside path after fighting an over the top move for some time. I did however, continue to find it fairly difficult to time the release of the club.
As an avid reader of golf tips, I read last week that I should be aiming to always stroke or strike the ball at the 7 o'clock position (I've always aimed at 6 o'clock) and the actual hit will come out well.
I played a round this afternoon and tried this. I decided to hit my 3wood off the tee and off the deck (It usually slices if I don't employ a strong, flippy hands release) but to my surprise (and joy), the ball flight came out fairly straight and pretty consistent. When it did go right, not very often, it was with a slight fade, NOT the dreaded s....!
Only one issue, the new ball flight tends to be very low! To correct this, is it as simple as amending my setup or what else can I do? I used to hit fairly high with the old OTT move!
