For all full shots, is the butt of the club supposed to point to your left shoulder? So, that would mean that you would put your hands slightly forward for all full shots? For the driver, your hands wouldn't look to be forward however. How and what can I do to see that my driver is aiming at the target and not left if my weight is kinda back and my hands are forward?

Re: For Full Swings
Panushjo,
Firstly the butt of the club should be just inside your left leg not quite pointing at the left shoulder more the left breast.
You are correct the hands should be ahead of the club head at address and at impact this gives a downward hit taking a divot if done correctly.
With the Driver you will get loads of different answers, if you watch the pros on TV some have the hands level with the head some play the ball well forward of the hands, but they all have one thing in common........................
When hitting a driver your should tilt your weight to the left a little more than normal to hit the ball on a slightly upward motion just past the arc of the swing.
For me, my hands are level with the club head at address.
Hope this helps
Ian.
P.S If you look at picture of the week on the "home" screen you will see the player swinging a driver, notice at the finish how his weight is still tilting back.Last edited by Ian Hancock; 04-18-2005, 08:22 AM.
