How do I ensure correct weight transfer from my right side to my left. I find that my left shoulder is coming accross the ball and not through making a proper arc. I got a lesson last week and I have manage to hit a few better shots but I am still liable to hit the few sockets. When I do hit a good shot it feels totally effortless and the ball flies perfectly. Also I have found a muscle in the left side of my back quite sore after hitting 100 balls for an hour and a half on the range. Is this normal or am I going about my swing totally wrong.

Find a hill that is sloping downwards. Take your stance, coil onto your right side, then return to your left side. the hill will help because of gravity pulling you forward. You are obviously coming over the top.

You may fix this by changing your grip making the V'S point between your chin and your right shoulder.

You may draw your right foot back. This will ensure that you approach the ball from inside the target line.
