Lately I have developed a weird problem. I am told that my practice swing looks perfect, and it changes during the real thing. People tell me during my real swing I develop a sort of hitch with my legs. My legs sort of dance and go forward and it causes me to compensate athletically. It kind of is like Charles Barkley swing. I try to keep my lower body still, but I still have this weird hitch. This is really weird cause I can still shoot in the low 80's. What should I do? Is my ball too far forward? thanks. Anyone that has seen Barkley's swing can imagine my problem

Re: weird problem
Graham - I think if you saw Charles Barkley's swing you'd choke! - although you've probably seen every kind of swing there is in your job...
Go to the Video Vault on golfchannel.com and type "Barkley Nellie" into the search - have a look at "Charles Barkley Swing - Before" and some of the other videos.
He says his practice swings are smooth and effortless (as most people's are), but when he stands over the ball - wow. It's like there's a connection is his brain that shuts down once he sees that little white ball sitting there.
The thing is, because he's a good athlete (he used to be a basketball pro), he still manages to get some distance and direction on the ball by making compensating movements.
panushjo - if you haven't got access to the Video Vault, I'd recommend it - it's $30 for a year I think. It seems that Charles Barkley's instructor thought his problem was a confidence problem - he just didn't have faith that he could hit the ball... His swing after some lessons was much more fluid.
