  • Ball under the heel

When practising, sometimes I put one ball under the right heel as one pro told me some years ago. With this, my weight transfers much better and my shots become more powerfull.
How can I get that feeling without a ball under my heel?

    Thanks for your help.

    Kensui,

On the backswing keep your weight on the instep of your right leg.

    Hope this helps

This practice drill is designed to elminate sway in the backswing which leads to inconsistent ball striking so simply bear than in mind when you use it. Knowing why you are doing the drill in the first place helps you focus on the mechanism it's there to promote. You need to get a feeling of rotation and a compact swing with minimal lateral movement of the upper body. Ian's suggestion to keep the weight on the inside of the leg is a great swing thought when you're not using the drill.
