hi im struggling to hit my new irons. I have noticed that the shafts are about half an inch longer than my old clubs......will this affect the way i hit the ball??

I'd like to add on to that too.. My wife's clubs are quite a lot shorter than mine, and since club length does have a direct effect on ball distance, does that mean that by that alone her shots will have less distance than mine? I know loft is another factor, so since she is about my height, would it be better for her to change to men's clubs instead?
I don't think you should have much problem with longer clubs, unless they are really way too long for your height. What you probably need is just a bit of time to get used to them, but wouldn't it be something like your new 7 iron is just like your old 5 iron, except for the difference in loft? Shouldn't u still be able to hit with the new 7 iron if you pretend it's your old 5 iron? :P
