    Here's the problem,

    on my downswing, my left foot tends to rotate so that on my follow through, my left foot is almost pointing at my target. And as a result, i sometimes lose my balance at impact. What's going on?

    I'd suggest two things...1. you may have your weight too much on your heels at address. 2. You may need to work on your flexibility, hamstrings , hips and lower back. Also when you set up do so with your left foot pointing slightly towards the target by maybe 30degrees.

      The front foot spinning is common, but not as much as getting it all the way around to point to the target. You doing two things:

      Hanging your weight back too much on the through swing, and
      rotating your hips too much on the takaway.

      My walking drill will help the ballance, but the hips going back is simply a concience thing. Only take the shoulders back, then let the hips rotate through only. This restricts the weight going back and staying there as well, so these 2 things will help you keep your feet on the ground!

        When you take the club back you're lifting your left heel (which is usually pulled inward by your backswing hip turn). When you start your downswing you're planting your left heel straight down instead of returning it to where it was. Result - a left foot that points at the target.

        Either keep your left foot flat or return you left heel to where it was at address.
