  • Wood/Iron Differences ?

    Ok,

As far as I know, wood has a sweeping action while mid irons have downward motion. Ball position is different. Are there any other differences in the swing ? Plane ? Tempo etc ?

My opinion is that tempo is tempo is tempo. Once you get it, you don't drop it, change it, or otherwise try to lose it. Your swing plane will change slightly club to club (unless you're swinging clubs from 1irongolf), but that's only because your clubs aren't the same length.

Beyond the other things you've mentioned, the swings should be more or less the same.
