    Re: Grip concept

Both hands should be able to work together. One hand does not want to have more influence on the swing than the other.

Personally I favour a weak right hand grip with the right hand well over the top of the shaft.

Your problems may also be caused by gripping the club too tight. Try loosening your grip. You just want to hold the club tight enough to have control. Imagine that you are holding an egg, that it how tight you want to grip the club.

I've written more about this in my free article at http://www.The-Golf-Bandit.com

Hmm my right hand doesn't really have a say in the grip in the sense that it really depends on how I start the grip with my left hand, then the right follows accordingly. Does that make sense?

        Re: Grip concept

Perhaps your slice on woods is your swing thought of forcing yourself to pull the woods more to the inside on the upswing. Doing this could be causing you to loop out at the top to compensate, making you have an over the top move, though that doesnt fit the in to out swing. Maybe your swing path is different with your woods.

Maybe think about using your normal swing ( like you use on irons ) and think about lengthing the amount of time it travels down the line versus changing the path on your woods. It seems you have the ability to hit good shots, so realistically the grip on your irons and your swing should be atleast useable on woods.

Thanks. Will try and swing as with my irons and see how it feels like. But just seems like I'm not going to get a wide swing arc that way, especially now I'm trying to make sure my right elbow stays close to the body.. Will update you after my trip to the driving range tonight
