i just started playing (if you want to call it that) like 3 days ago and i don't have to money for lessons. can anyone tell me the correct position for hitting the ball in laymans terms?

If you can't afford lessons, my advice would be to go to the library and get some books for beginners as well as any videos they might have. If you have questions after that, then come back with questions. THere is just too much to describe for a brand new golfer.
