  • Anybody got a drill for this?

I`ve just realised that my hands are leading the clubhead with the driver, so even if I come from the inside, the face is still open . . . the only thing I can find addressing this is to "hit past your chin"
    Anybody got anything more specific?
    Thanks

Your hands are supposed to lead the clubhead, no matter the club. What you may want to do is check your grip to ensure your hands are squaring the clubface at the impact position:

I`m actually spraying the ball all over Essex this summer - driving is by far the weakest part of my game. I`m pulling and slicing, and there can literally be 150 yards laterally between two tee shots.

I thought pulling and slicing is caused by coming over the top out to in, but I can SEE the club path coming from the inside or straight down the line at least so I`ve absolutely no idea what to do apart from leaving the driver in the car.
Trouble with that is that I can barely hit my 3 wood 200 yards so can`t get to half the par 4s in regulation!
Strangely enough, I sometimes hit my straightest drives by teeing the ball up really high and well in front of my left foot and just swinging through it, but this makes no sense to me either as the clubface should be closing and travelling even more across the line from out to in with the ball that far forward shouldn`t it?

That is a common fix for a sway... Ensure you are not throwing your body towards the target.

When you are in your address position with your driver, can you describe the feeling you get standing over your ball? You should have your spine tilted away from the target, right shoulder lower than your left and your weight mostly on your back foot. If you do this, it will be very idifficult to sway away from the target on your take away, therefore leaving you no reason to sway back towards the target.
