Im not going to get better without anyone showing me how to play correctly. Ive got a few questions regarding instruction.

How long is a golf lesson?

How often should a beginner take golf lessons?

What is a resonable improvement expectation?

The average golf lesson is anywhere between (usually) 30 and 60 minutes.

A beginner should book lessons no less than 2 weeks apart, IMO. If you can get a couple of hours of practice in every day, then you could stand to space your lessons 1 week apart.

How much improvement you see will be directly influenced by how well you are able to execute what your instructor is trying to get you to do.

If I had any advice for having lessons. It would be to listen carefully to what is being said. As stated by LowPost42 a lesson can go for 30 to 60 min. Depending on what the Pro is like he/she may talk a lot or little. So be ready to ask questions if you don't understand.

If you do take lessons on, then you have to dedicate yourself to practice. Don't get down if it takes time. Keep at it.

I also think it's very important to try hard to remember how it feels to do something. If your coach holds your club a certain way for you, at that point, make a deliberate effort to remember how it feels. Trust me if you don't, you probably won't be able to repeat it during the next lesson

personally for me, i try to recall and write down whatever i can remember after each lesson, when i'm back home. no matter how dumb the notes can be. some times it is some small things that we happen to note down that helps us the most.

My goodness yes! I never thought of notes (as my Pro always gave them to me), but I've also translated them the same day (in fact, I've posted them on this board - the title is Tips from T.C., C.P.G.A. Pro or something like that).

With the tips i got on my round last week i shaved 17 strokes of my score. I think lessons will help.
