  • Low shots

I have been hitting the ball straight the last couple of times out, but as before I was hitting nice high shots now I seem to only hit low liners. Some of the drives hit ground before the fairway even though I was making contact with power behind it.

Loft is suppossed to come from the angle of descent but I cant figure out what i changed. I tried to have my take away be steeper but it felt uncomfortable. Are their any pointers anyone has or drills on how to get back to the right angle?

    Thanks

I would check you ball position. You may be playing the ball. too far back in your stance. Place 2 clubs down in a T formation. The ball for a driver should be off your left heel.

At least with your driver, loft will depend in part on how high you tee the ball. Your driver should make contact with the ball on the upswing. Tee the ball SLIGHTLY higher and you should get more loft out of it. Don't tee it too high, though. The highest point should be where the equator of the ball meets the highest point on the driver head.

Thanks......to bad it is not just my driver. This is fairway woods and irons. Wedges go up just not at the same trajectory they used to for me.

It sounds to me like your thinning your a little. I always like to feel as though I'm swinging through the ball with the back of my left hand rather than the clubhead. Always make sure your left hand gets to the ball before the club head does, on all shots, even putting.
