Inconsistent accuracy

Hi I'm new to golf tuition and hope i can lower my scores a little. My question is about incosistent accuracy I have gotten past getting the ball off the ground. But have incountered a problem with keeping the ball straight and making it go where i want it particularlly with my fairway woods and 4-6 iorns any tips will be greatlly appreciated.
