  • Where to grip the club

Whenever I see instruction pictures or videos, the person seems to grip the club part way down the handle, with about 2 - 3 inches of handle showing above the hands.
    I'm right handed.
When I grip it, the topmost part of my left hand (at the base of my hand near my wrist) to contact the handle is about half a centimeter from the end of the handle. This feels fine to me.
Is there a correct position, or should one just hold the club where it feels comfortable?

IMO, the "drill gripdown" helps to instill confidence, as it will usually straighten out a ballflight. The same applies to short game shots - gripping down helps to straighten out your shot. The narrower grip also helps the wrists to release.
