    Re: Spot the errors

Okay, here's one from the range today:

    http://www.mikejevans.com/Range.AVI

It's very dark due to being in the shadow of the roof and a poor quality camera. I took the camera and almost forgot. I'd already put all my stuff away when my bro reminded me of taking a recording and he had 2 balls left when he said it so we took one of eachother. Because I'd packed up it meant I was starting everything from scratch so that it was more like hitting a ball on the course.

Although I can see some obvious mistakes in that swing like I'd gone across the line at the top and lost my balance at the end, despite this I hit a perfect shot. Using a 5 Iron I hit it 160 yards perfectly straight with great trajectory. It's funny coz out on the course I often lose my balance at the end that way and still hit perfect shots.

Is losing my balance in that way due to having my weight too much on the toes?

      Re: Spot the errors

I've just been looking at lots of swings on that redgoat site and from what I can see reaching out a little is perfectly fine. It seems that the longer the club the more the hands reach out. Thinking logically I'm a short guy so I would have to reach out more on shorter clubs. Ie the amount a 6 footer reaches out on the driver would be the amount I reach out for 5I say.

Also, it seems some players' shoulders are quite rounded at address. The lower back upto where the shoulders start is always perfectly straight but the shoulders vary depending on how upright the golfer stands. Some of the tour pros' shoulders are quite rounded. I was looking at Woosy who's a short guy and his are quite rounded.

I also think a bit of reaching is more consistent with a one-plane swing, for some reason.
