I would guess there isnt supposed to be any grip separation at the top of the back swing and that it would cause some inconsistancy. The heel of my right hand comes off of the club a bit. Is this caused by overswinging?

Hi Andy,
You are correct grip seperation can lead to swing problems, if your seperation caused the club to go across the line at the top then you will start the down swing on the wrong plane.
The oldest and best advice for this is, take a £20.00 and roll it up, stick it between your club butt and the palm of your left hand and swing...................trust me you will not drop it.
