1st, I think we need to differentiate between touring pros, club pros and teaching pros. That aside, if we are talking about touring pros, they are able to play under tremendous pressure. For the top touring pros, a mistake can cost winning a major. For touring pros on the edge, a missed putt or errant shot can cost them their playing card or thousands of dollars. Just think for yourself in the difference in playing a leisurely round and playing for a $10.00 nassau, then multiply that tension x 50 at least. Also, how many of us could hit it straight down the fairway with cameras in your face and spectators standing on both sides of the fairway??

I concur sir. Today I hit 1 very bad shot that finished on the next fairway and as there were ppl playing on it I lost it mentally and started rushing etc. and ended up with a quadruple bogey The embarrasement coupled with them watching me etc. I just couldn't take.
